This star almost got the role of Elaine on Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld has revealed someone else almost snagged the role of Elaine Benes on the hit sitcom Seinfeld and it was actually a Will & Grace star.
“You know who was close was Megan Mullally,” the American comedian told Howard Stern after he was asked by the radio personality which other actresses were considered to play Elaine.
Megan is most well known for her role as Karen Walker on Will & Grace for which she's won two Emmy Awards.
Actress and comedian Rosie O’Donnell was also strongly considered for the role.
However, 63-year-old Jerry knew the role of Elaine was meant for Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The actress starred as Elaine for eight years before Seinfeld wrapped filming in 1998.

Jerry was recently asked by Entertainment Tonight if he would follow in the footsteps of sitcoms like Will & Grace and bring backSeinfeld.
He simply responded: “Why?”
“Maybe it's nice that you continue to love it instead of us tampering with something that went pretty well,” he told the outlet.
