Did Ange 'ban' Maddox from dating?

She's mum to six kids so it was only a matter of time before Angelina Jolie had to go through the awkward teenage dating years with her brood, but is she trying to stop it all together?

After reports earlier this week suggested the 42-year-old actress had "banned" eldest son Maddox, 16, from dating, sources close to Ange have denied she's having trouble accepting her kids are growing up.

"Nonsense... [Ange said] it’s up to him," the source tells GossipCop.

OK! magazine claimed that Ange had put a ban on her eldest son hanging out with girls, after Maddox had worked on the set of her latest flick First They Killed My Father.

"Maddox’s at that age where he wants to hang out at the mall with his friends and flirt with girls, but Angie’s got him on such a tight schedule that he feels smothered," an insider told the publication.

"She doesn’t want him getting interested in any girls and denies him every opportunity of asking one out. It’s as though nobody’s good enough for him, but Angie insists it’s more about having Maddox focused on his burgeoning movie career. Angie’s very clear on the direction she wants him to take and as much as he respects that, he feels it’s unfair that he’s not allowed to date."

With five other kids, it looks like Ange might have to get used to chaperoning dates when the time comes.
