Exclusive: Bachelorette's James is getting marriage proposals

He managed to secure some one-on-one time with Sophie Monk during Thursday night's episode of The Bachelorette.

And it seems contestant James Trethewie is just as popular with the rest of the female population of Australia.

One of the 31-year-old financial advisor's close friends has exclusively revealed to Be that James has "been getting sent marriage proposals" since first appearing on the Channel Ten show.

Overnight the blond hunk has attracted even more attention on social media, after he shone in Thursday's group date and won the first ever Bachelorette 'man games'.

Putting his muscles and intellect to great use, James beat the rest of the boys in a series of challenges, including the final one which involved lighting a crackling fire.

As a result, he scored some alone time with the stunning Sophie, and fans couldn't stop gushing about him on social media.

"James is THE BOMB," one viewer tweeted, while another penned, "Loving James more n more...."

Needless to say, he received a rose from Sophie before the cocktail party, and we can't wait to see more of him when the reality show returns next Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel Ten.
