WATCH: Taylor fangirls over Sophie

She has set tongues wagging across Australia as the nation's latest star of The Bachelorette.

But it's not just the men who are fans of Sophie Monk, as plenty of the ladies choose to girl-crush on the blonde bombshell too.

One famous female star who has vocalised her appreciation for Sophie in the past is none other than singer Taylor Swift.

In an interview Sophie conducted with Taylor back in 2014 for 2Day FM, the Look What You Made Me Do hitmaker couldn't stop complimenting the Aussie star.

"Can you tell me something just to make me feel better about myself, like do you eat in bed or do something?" Sophie first asked Taylor.

The Shake It Off singer couldn't believe Soph needed a self-esteem boost, quickly responding, "What are you talking about?"

"You are so gorgeous it's hard to talk to you," Taylor said.

Sophie turned to her then co-host Merrick Watts in disbelief, and Taylor said, "Don't even do that. You have the cheekbones, I don't have the cheekbones".

"But I'm an edgy mess, like I'm all over the place," Sophie then said.

Well, she's certainly not an edgy mess on The Bachelorette at the moment, as she vies to find the love of her life.

Last week Sophie met 18 eligible men on the Channel Ten drama, and fans can't wait to see who receives the final rose at the end of the season.
