Kendall's tearful apology over Pepsi ad

Kendall Jenner has finally spoken out about the controversial Pepsi commercial, giving a tearful apology and saying she felt "f***ing stupid".

The 21-year-old, who was widely criticised for the ad which depicted the model using the soft drink to help bring peace to protesters, broke down in the season 14 premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, saying it was never her intention to offend people. Watch Kendall's tearful apology above.

"I would never purposely hurt someone ever. I would, obviously, if I knew this was gonna be the outcome I would have never done something like this," Kendall tearful said in her video confessional.

"But you don't know when you're in the moment, and like, it was the most…like it was…like it was so…like I just felt so f***ing stupid. The fact that I would offend other people or hurt other people was definitely not my intent and that's what got me the most, is that I would ever make anyone else upset."

Earlier in the episode Kendall makes reference to the backlash when talking to sister Kim Kardashian.

"I just feel really, really bad. I feel really bad that anyone was ever offended. I feel really bad that this was taken such a wrong way and I genuinely feel like s**t. I have no idea how I'm gonna bounce back from it," she tells the mother-of-two.

"This is the first time you've had a scandal. This is your first real experience with something like this," Kim tells her younger sister, before telling her to use the experience as a learning curve.

"This is just gonna be the biggest lesson learned for you. I know you're so sensitive and I know you're the last person to want to hurt someone or be insensitive," Kim adds.

"It should affect you in a way where you grow from it and you're like, ‘Okay I'm a better person from it.' You know? But I just wish that you could see that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that it will be OK if you're just like honest."

Back in April Kendall received backlash after appearing in the ad which was accused of appropriating images from the Black Lives Matter movement, with many labelling the soft drink company - and model - of being tone deaf and insensitive. Pepsi pulled the ad a day after it first aired.
