"The surgeon said if I hadn't gone to the hospital that night I would have died in my sleep that night," he told host Carrie Bickmore. "It's just sheer luck that I went in when I did."

The 29-year-old just put his years of headaches down to being young and maybe having a little too much fun.

"Anything that may have been a symptom I just put down to normal life," he admitted.

However, the night he was rushed to hospital in early August he explained his sentences were all jumbled up and he wasn't making any sense.

Even the doctors thought it was just a migraine too but after Johnny slipped into a coma, his tumour was discovered and he was rushed to surgery.

Only 95 per cent of it was removed because it was “too close to some nerves”.

Despite his prognosis the star said his prognosis is "generally quite positive".

"Fingers crossed by the end of six months of chemo that I'm in the clear," Johnny said.
