Jesinta on meeting Selena Gomez after kidney transplant

She was recently pictured getting pally with Selena Gomez at New York Fashion Week.

Now former Miss Universe Australia Jesinta Franklin has spilled the tea on her intimate meeting with the sick singer, whilst appearing on The Morning Show.

"She was sweet and lovely," she said, describing their meet and greet. "Usually with those kind of meetings, it is like hi, air kiss, and a photo. She complimented me, my hair and outfit, and asked me how the trip was. It was really nice."

The pair were seated together in the front row for accessories brand, Coach, with the model having no idea just how ill the Hands to Myself singer had been.

"She actually revealed that [her kidney transplant] the day after I met her," Jesinta, 26, said. "Her friend had donated a kidney to her, because she has been unwell."

Selena Gomez, who is dating The Weeknd, took to social media the next day to reveal she has undergone a kidney transplant due to the chronic auto-immune disease she suffers from called lupus.

Her best friend Francia Raisa donated the kidney.
