The Hollywood actresses accusing Harvey Weinstein
Since movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was accused of being a sexual predator in a sensational exposé last week, more and more women have been coming forward with stories of their own.
The list now includes some huge Hollywood actresses, each with harrowing claims against a man they believe abused their trust and took advantage of his position in the film industry.
Heather Graham is the latest movie star to claim Weinstein inappropriately accosted her, telling Variety he 'implied' she had to have sex with him to land a role.
She explained that after a meeting with the producer, she left 'feeling uneasy' as though there was no explicit mention that she had to sleep with him to snag a script, she believes the subtext was there.
Her comments come after Gwyneth Paltrow told The New York Times that the movie mogul had sexually propositioned her when she was 22 and dating actor Brad Pitt.
“I was a kid,” she said in the interview. “I was signed up, I was petrified.”
Despite refusing his advances, Gwyneth continued to work with Weinstein and they later went on to win an Academy Award together for Shakespeare In Love.
Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie also spoke to the publication about her brush with Weinstein.
“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth,” she said. “As a result, I chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did.”
Kiss The Girls actress Ashley Judd was one of the first leading ladies to come forward when the scandal first broke, telling the reporter that Weinstein continually pestered her with sexual invitations, that included massages, showers and shoulder rubs.
Rosanna Arquette has also claimed the Hollywood fat cat came onto her, stating he was wearing a bathrobe when she arrived for a meeting and requested a neck massage.
“Then he grabbed my hand,” she told The New Yorker. He then put it on his neck and when she yanked her hand away she says he pulled it toward his penis, which was visible and erect.
Other actresses who have gone public include Liz Hurley, XXX star, Asia Agrento, Jessica Barth, who stared in Ted alongside Mark Wharlberg, andThe Suffragette’s Romola Garai.
There have also been female models, journalists, producers and directors affected by his reported behaviour.
Meanwhile, stars including Meryl Streep and Kate Winslet have condemned the producer's alleged seedy actions.
