TV host defends Ben Affleck over controversial interview

A TV host has defended Ben Affleck after a controversial interview from over a decade ago has resurfaced.

Back in 2004, Affleck was seen nuzzling into presenter Anne-Marie Losique's breasts and pointing out that she usually shows “a lot more cleavage than this, what’s the story?”

Now Losique says that it was just a "game" between heself and Ben, and that "nothing improper happened".

"We have this game to play for the cameras between Ben and I where he would imitate my accents and then it would just go on. And yes, I sat on his lap but it was all fun and games for the cameras. Nothing improper ever happened," she told E! News

"As soon as the cameras stopped rolling, we would [walk] out because you know on junket days where they do interviews after interviews after interviews, so it was just a little fun moment."

In the interview, Affleck commented on her “firm breasts”, before putting on a French accent and makes a joke about disability.

This comes after the actor took to Twitter earlier this week to apologise for groping a former MTV host on television.

“I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologise,” he wrote on Twitter.

Hilarie Burton was just 21 when she says the Oscar-winner grabbed her breasts during an interview.

The Good Will Hunting star was already under fire for claiming not to know anything about the sexual harassment history of Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

He had earlier taken to Facebook to condemn Harvey's actions, saying he was "saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass, and manipulate many women over the decades."

"We need to do better at protecting our sisters, friends, co-workers, and daughters. We must support those who come forward, condemn this type of behavior when we see it and help ensure there are more women in positions of power." he wrote.

Another woman has also come forward claiming Ben inappropriately touched her at a Golden Globes after party in 2014.

Annamarie Tendler took to Twitter alleging the movie star "grabbed" her "a**".

"I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my a** at a Golden Globes party in 2014," she wrote.

She went on to say that even though she didn't report the incident she has spent a lot of time thinking about what she's say if she saw Ben again.
