Sophie Monk has set the record straight about the "edited" kiss between herself and recent Bachelorette reject Sam Cochrane.
Speaking to KIIS FM, the 37-year-old slammed Sam's claim that the pair shared a "really great" kiss during their date, saying that if it was edited out it was because she felt "uncomfortable".
"I gave him a rose and pecked him to be polite, and he goes, 'Can I have a peck?' and I said 'That was a peck' and then he grabbed my head and I didn’t kiss him back," Sophie told the KIISFM duo.
"It made me feel really uncomfortable, so if they [producers] cut it out, that’s why. It was really awkward and uncomfortable. I wasn't kissing him back, I did not want to kiss him."
The Bachelorette star admitted while she "tried to make it work", she thought Sam was "always performing for the cameras" and in the end it became too much.
"After a while I realised he was there because he wanted to be a star... he didn't even look at me half the time," she added.
Earlier in the morning, double delight rose recipient Sam had told the radio hosts that he and Sophie locked lips on their first date, but the scene was left on the cutting room floor.
"On my first date we did kiss - they just didn’t show it. It was great, it was really great," he said.
Sam was booted from the Bachelorette on Thursday night during an intense rose ceremony where Sophie asked the voiceover artist whether or not she knew the "real" him.
Sophie also set the record straight about Luke, who claimed he was "confused" by his eviction, with Kyle surprising the former Bardot singer with getting the handsome Sydney-sider on the phone.
"You know I really liked you, but I felt the chemistry just changed when I went on other dates. I don't know if the pressure got to you but it just changed the chemistry," Sophie told the 33-year-old.
