Mark Ruffalo wants Harvey Weinstein 'to be charged'
Actor Mark Ruffalo has told Be he believes Harvey Weinstein should be hit with charges following a slew of sexual assault allegations levelled against the Hollywood producer.
Speaking at the Thor: Ragnarok premiere in Sydney, Mark, who plays the Hulk, told Be that the claims laid against Harvey are criminal and should be treated as such.
"I hope people press charges because these are crimes that we're talking about," Mark told Be. "The men have got to stand-up, too."
The actor, who is married to fellow actress Sunrise Coigney with whom he has three children, appeared to see a silver-lining to the scandal, saying that he thinks it's "really hopeful so many women are feeling empowered and safe to speak about their experiences."
The 49-year-old also shared an adorable story about his young daughter, Bella, and her heartbreak over an unrequited crush.
"My daughter had a crush on another girl at school who didn’t like her and I was like 'are you alright Bella' and she said, 'yeah dad, I'm a really good friend, I'm really cute and my dad's The Hulk," he joked.
