James Corden's terrible Harvey Weinstein joke

James Corden has been slammed by Harvey Weinstein's multiple victims after the comedian opened a black-tie charity gala with a series of tasteless jokes about the movie producer.

Standing in front of some of Hollywood's biggest stars, the 39-year-old was MC for the amfAR, an AIDS research foundation, over the weekend, and opened the night by joking about Harvey and the scandal that has rocked Hollywood.

"It's so beautiful, Harvey Weinstein has already asked tonight up to his hotel to give him a massage," James said about the event in LA, with several audience members heard groaning after the punchline.

"I don’t know whether that groan was that you liked that joke or you don’t like that joke. If you don’t like that joke you should probably leave now," The Late Late Show host added.

Not backing down, James continued adding: "It has been weird this week hasn’t it, watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water. Ask any of the women who watched him take a bath... it’s weird watching Harvey Weinstein in hot water."

"Harvey Weinstein wanted to come tonight but he’ll settle for whatever potted plant is closest."

However with the audience not responding and groaning more, James can be heard saying: “Oh come on!"

After his opening act was shared on Twitter, James has copped major backlash, with two of the 65-year-old's alleged victims Rose McGowan and Asia Argento slamming him on the social media platform.

"Shame on this pig and everyone who grunted with him," Asia, who claims Harvey raped her when she was 21-year-old, tweeted, with Charmed actress Rose, who has been vocal about the scandal and her dealings with the Good Will Hunting producer, called James a "motherf***ing piglet".

And they weren't the only ones to take James to task, actress Holli Dempsey tweeted: "ALL the hard and brave work women have done this week in light of Hollywood abuse and @JKCorden belittles it all.
