Johnny Ruffo is 'staying positive'

He's facing the fight of his life, but Johnny Ruffo has revealed he's not going to let anything get him down.

In a candid chat exclusively with Be theHome & Away star opened up about how he's coping since being diagnosed with brain cancer two months ago.

"I've just finished six weeks of radio therapy which is great," he said, explaining he's on a break before more treatment begins. "But I'm still focused on music and acting, so I'm just staying positive and keep moving forward."

The 29-year-old who found fame on The X-Factor was attending the Sydney premiere Thor: Ragnarok* *with his girlfriend Tahnee Sims, who has been a visible support to the star since his cancer began.

"It's been a huge eye-opener you know and it's put things well into perspective," Johnny continued. "Now I kind of just want to focus on the things that are important to me."

Despite facing a huge uphill climb for his health, Johnny also said he was enjoying getting out and about and was looking forward to 'what the next chapter holds.'
