Sophie Monk had to ‘block’ Benji Madden’s number
They may have called it quits nearly a decade ago, but it seems Benji Madden still carries a torch for Bachelorette Sophie Monk.
The Good Charlotte singer's reportedly been messaging and calling ex-fiancé since it was announced she was set to appear on the show.
An insider told NW: “Putting her heart on the line so publicly is a big deal – he just wanted to wish her well and make sure she was doing OK.”
However, Sophie told the magazine that she doesn’t “think it’s right [to talk to an ex], especially when you move on”.
To dodge any form of contact at all, the 37-year-old admitted to the publication she blocked not just Benji’s phone number but all of ex-boyfriends.
For Benji, 38, getting back in contact with Sophie may not be the best timing as the magazine also claims he and wife Cameron Diaz are going through a hard time as they try for a baby.
Back in August the 45-year-old gushed about her husband – whom she married in January 2015 after a seven-month whirlwind romance – at Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop Wellness Summit.
“We are both just weird enough for each other,” she revealed.
