Forget Georgie Gardner and Sylvia Jefferies, there’s a new hot blonde set to take Lisa Wilkinson’s seat on Today.

Roxy Jacenko has (jokingly) thrown her hat into the ring of possible co-host contenders.'

In a nod to Today’s classic catch phrase, the PR Maven said she is “looking forward to waking up with us tomorrow” before adding exclusively to Be that she "wants the job".

Clearly committed to her push, Roxy even sent through a photoshopped image showing her sitting in the hot seat at the Today desk next to Karl Stefanovic.

The Sweaty Betty owner is a regular on the Today and has always had wonder rapport with Karl.

It would be worth Channel Nine considering Roxy’s hilarious suggestion given they have been left without a permanent co-host on the show since Lisa’s sudden departure.

Speculation is rife the veteran journalist decided to walk when contract negations fell through as she demanded equal pay to Karl.
