Does Tom Cruise have 'healing abilities'?
He's been the poster boy for the Church of Scientology for years, and now Tom Cruise reportedly believes his faith has healing powers.
As a high-ranking member of the controversial church, the 55-year-old actor has been practising his healing using a method the religion calls "touch assist", which claims to "cure sprained joints, injured limbs, colds and sore throats", according to RadarOnline.
"My insiders tell me Tom Cruise has now achieved the level of Operating Thetan VI," Tony Ortega, editor of the Scientology blog The Underground Bunker, told the outlet.
"That’s a very high level, and he would have learned about touch assist and almost certainly tried it as part of his experience."
Sources also describe "touch assist" as the "laying on of hands Scientologists claim opens the nerve channels and brings relief to a needy spot."
"The Scientologist who is performing the touch assist will touch the injured person and instruct them to 'Feel my finger,'" the insider adds to the publication.

"Only one finger must be used — not two. After the healer has finished, they must say, 'End of assist.' It’s a powerful procedure, Scientologists believe."
Of course, Tom isn't the only famous Scientologist to have reportedly obtained these God-like healing powers, with fellow church member John Travolta allegedly gaining the ability to heal while ironically filming his 1996 flick, Phenomenon.
"I’ve really learned how to heal. I can transfer my spirit and power to others," RadarOnline quotes the actor as saying at the time.
"A person hurt their leg the other day, and I used about four different processes to help them heal. And when anyone has a cold, I use certain processes to help them!"
