Karl Stefanovic credits girlfriend Jasmine for 'unwavering support'

Lisa Wilkinson recently left the show she'd co-hosted with Karl Stefanovic.

After 10 years working side-by-side, the presenter has opened up about how her departure has affected him and shared some rather cute comments about his girlfriend, Jasmine Yarbrough.

In his first interview since Lisa's shock departure from Today, Karl revealed he had relied heavily on Jasmine recently.

"Jasmine has committed to my life ... my whole life, and her support is unwavering,’’ the 43-year-old said.

He went on to say that their relationship isn't 'easy' and recognised that the attention is 'incredibly invasive.'

"But she’s strong, full of light, life and laughter," he told Confidential.

Karl and Jasmine began dating several months after his 21-year-marriage to Cassandra Thorburn came to an end.

Earlier today, Cassandra gave an explosive interview to Woman's Day where she described her ex as 'dead' to her.

The TV host also had nothing but nice things to say about his former colleague, Lisa, who will be starting on The Project next year, telling the publication there was 'nothing but love' for her.

“It was strange after 10 years for her not to be next to me," he confessed.
