Lisa Wilkinson busted watching Today Show

She left the Today Show suddenly last week after failing to reach an agreement with Channel Nine.

But despite landing a sweet new gig over on The Project, it seems Lisa Wilkinson may be missing her old stomping ground.

The 57-year-old television presenter has been spotted checking in on the team over at Today, by logging into a live stream from the studio on social media.

A screenshot from the broadcast shows the journalist tuned in to see Today Extra hosts David Campbell and Sonia Kruger destroy a smash cake at her old desk.

Lisa had hosted the main show for 10 years alongside Karl Stefanovic, who yesterday took a tongue-in-cheek sswipe at his former colleague whilst hosting the Wharf4Ward charity fundraiser in Sydney.

It was rumoured she left abruptly over a gender pay row, though Nine execs have denied this is the case.

She's currently enjoying a couple of months off before starting her new gig on Channel Ten, alongside Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar.
