Jasmine Yarbrough defends 'amazing' boyfriend Karl Stefanovic
Karl Stefanovic has had a rough few weeks after his Today co-host Lisa Wilkinson resigned and his ex-wife of 21 years said he was “dead” to her.
But the host’s shoe designer girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough has come out in support of Karl, 43, saying he is a “lovely man” and that she is “very happy” with him.
The 31-year-old, who has been dating Karl since December last year, told The Daily Telegraph: “Karl is such an amazing, major supporter of me.”
“He is such a great guy,” she continued. “He is a lovely man. I feel so lucky and supported. I am very happy.”
Cassandra Thorburn recently opened up to Woman’s Day about life after Karl, confessing she had moved on after being jilted by the father of her three kids.
"The children still have a father but I don't have a husband," she told the publication. "He really is dead to me and no, we won't ever be friends again."
It has also been an hectic time professionally for Karl following Lisa Wilkinson’s exit from Today, after it was reported the 57-year-old demanded the same pay as her co-host.
Speaking on stage at the Wharf4Ward fundraising event alongside Channel Nine stablemate Richard 'Dickie' Wilkins, Karl laughed off the pay gap row.
“Let’s get the elephant out of the room straight away. Dickie and I are being paid the same to be here today," Karl said.
