Faking it? Stu Laundy and Sophie Monk cop more heat

Radio host Em Rusciano has added her voice to the hordes expressing doubt that the romance between Bachelorette star Sophie Monk and the show winner Stuart Laundy is real.

Speaking on her 2DayFM show earlier today, Em told listeners she doesn’t think “there is a skerrick of romance between the two of them”.

The new couple were blasted last week for an interview on The Project, which was branded "awkward" by viewers, something the radio presenter agreed with.

“She, to me, looked uncomfortable and cagey and like she didn’t want to be there,” Em, 38, said, revealing she thought Soph wasn't necessarily in it just for love.

“I think Sophie Monk has got exactly what she wanted to get out of this show,” she told her co-host, Harley Breen. "I think she’s played everyone and I salute that and I high five Sophie Monk.”

Her callers seemed to agree, with audience members calling in to say "I don't think they're together."

"They just looked creepy, they weren't holding hands through the whole thing," one listener said. "It just looked awkward."

Another said, "I feel like Channel Ten wasted Sophie's time, I totally feel for her... She wanted an older guy and they threw in a bunch of young'uns"

The blonde Australian singleton found love with Stu on the most recent series of the Bachelorette after dating 22 hopefuls.

Controversy seems to follow the new lovers, with Stu having met Sophie once before the show. Despite asking her out on a date, the 37-year-old declined because she thought he was a "play boy."

Sophie responded to the claims by posting a video of the two of them together on Instagram with a lady name Jan, captioned, "At least Jan has our back."
