Nicole Kidman: 'Keith tells me to stay raw and sensitive'

They are one of the biggest A-lister couples in Hollywood.

Now Nicole Kidman has spoken out about her marriage with Keith Urban in a new interview with Glamour magazine, revealing her husband wants to keep her "raw and sensitive".

The Big Little Lies actress says her husband wants to be the "tough one" in the marriage so Nicole can be "sensitive" and "raw", leaving her to be less guarded and more "curious," she tells the outlet.

Nicole reveals that her husbands tells her, "That’s not what I want for you, Nicole. You don’t need to get a thick skin...I'll buffer things for you".

Nicole believes that it's a "beautiful offering" that her husband wants to shield her and allow her to feel more comfortable and vulnerable for her films.

The pair tied the knot back in 2006 and have two children together Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.

It comes after the loved-up Aussie couple received a surprising birthday call from radio duo Kyle & Jackie O from KIIS 106.5 last week.

The radio duo wished the country-singer Keith a happy birthday and he seemed stunned to hear from the pair.

"Happy birthday Keithy, it's Kyle and Jackie how are you buddy?"

With a slight pause, the 50-year-old replied, "Hi, I'm great mate how are you?."

Nicole, who was sitting in the car with Keith, interjected, "I'm in the car why are you calling?".

"Thats crazy that you got a hold of us," Nicole said, "No doubt thats bloody lucky mate," Keith said.

"He's going to change their number now, you know what these celebrities are like - Nicole I'll just ring you next time," Kyle said.
