Jessica Marais and James Stewart reunite for daughter's first day of school
Logie winner Jessica Marais and ex-James Stewart may not be together anymore, but they won't let that stop them coming together to support their daughter on her first day of school.
The Home & Away actor shared an adorable family snap of Scout, five, dressed in cute-as-a button denim dungarees, and it's given us all the feels.
In the post that was shared to Instagram, the former partners appear to be putting aside any differences they may have to make sure Scout has a happy memory of such an important milestone.
"First step into big school.." James captioned the snap. "I think Jess and I are more nervous than Scout.. hah! Argh!"
The pair, who met on the set of Seven's Packed to the Rafters, have been spotted having "heated" arguments several times since their split in May, 2015.
However they were all smiles for Scout's big day.
Fans of the 42-year-old and his ex-fiancée Jessica Marais, 32, were quick to praise the pair for being able to work together for the sake of little Scout.
"I’m so impressed with your togetherness when you share the parenting," one user commented. "Super impressive! You should be pretty chuffed."
While another remarked that it was so nice to see them "get along."
James told Sunday Life last year that Jessica was he was the main carer of their daughter as Jess was "busy working and travelling a lot."
The proud parents however seem to have smoothed out their differences and are total #parentgoals.
