Georgia Love defends Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy

Sophie Monk and Stu Laundy's relationship has been scrutinised by many in the past fortnight, but one star who insists their love is real is former Bachelorette herself, Georgia Love.

Speaking to Be at the 2017 Derby Day in Melbourne on Saturday, the 29-year-old told critics to leave the reality TV couple "alone" as "they're so in love".

"I think it’s really unfair how they’ve had everyone saying all this about them," said Georgia, who found love with Lee Elliott on the Channel Ten show last year.

Em Rusciano, Meshel Laurie and Kate Langbroek have all spoken out about Sophie and Stu’s relationship over the last two weeks, saying that the couple are not actually together.

Speaking on her 2DayFM breakfast radio show, Em told listeners she doesn’t think “there is a skerrick of romance between the two of them”.

The 38-year-old thought Sophie “looked uncomfortable and cagey” when she appeared on The Project with Stu.

Meanwhile fellow radio presenter Kate shared a screenshot of Sophie and Stu on The Project, along with a caption reading: "She hates him. #bachelorette #poorsophie #itsdone #theproject".

On Saturday, Georgia said that Sophie and Stu did not need to put on obvious public displays of affection to prove they're an item.

"They’ve both been engaged or married before, they know who they are, they don’t need to be all over each other to be happy and I think leave them alone," she told Be.

"They’re so happy, they’re so in love. They’ve found the person they’ve been waiting their whole lives for so leave them be. I think they’re amazing, I think they’re such a great fit."
