Kim Kardashian confirms third baby's gender
After months of speculation, Kim Kardashian has confirmed she and husband Kanye West are expecting another baby girl.
The reality star, who is already mum to four-year-old daughter North, and son Saint, one, accidentally let slip the gender of her impending arrival while on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Kimye are opting to use a surrogate for their third baby.
"People brought toys and gifts and she was opening them all up the next day and she [North] said, 'Mum, since baby sister’s not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room and I’ll play with them and just make sure they’re all OK for baby sister,'" Kim revealed on the show.
Quickly picking up on Kim's slip of the tongue the talk show host replied, "She’s a toy tester... and you just told us it’s a girl."
Confirming that another girl will be joining the Kardashian-West household, Kim added her eldest daughter is excited to be a big sister again, admitting North "struggled" with gaining a baby brother nearly two years ago.
"North is really excited about that. [Having a brother] was a little trickier, so she’s excited," she said. "Let’s see if it lasts. I explained to her, 'Four in the morning, when you come in my room, I’ll be with baby sister, I have to feed her', so we’ll see how it goes."
And while she comes from a long line of sisters who all have a name starting with K, the 37-year-old revealed she and Yeezy are yet to decide on a name for their latest addition, which is reportedly due in January.
"We don’t have a name. At the baby shower I was like, 'I don’t want to play any games, measuring the belly, that won’t work out this time,'" she joked.
"I just want everyone to write a name on a little tile and we’ll see if something sticks. We’re freaking out. We have no name."
Kim celebrated her baby shower over the weekend, hosting a cherry-blossom themed tea with her famous family.
The reality star also recently spoke about the challenges of using a surrogate, saying she is struggling with the lack of control the situation gives her.
"Anyone that says or thinks it is just the easy way out is just completely wrong," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control."
Kim went on, telling the outlet that while she and Kanye picked someone they have a "good bond" with, it's been hard to navigate the situation after carrying her first two children.
"Obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but... knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. So, it's definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area."
