Georgie Gardner to host Today after all?

She originally told family and mates she didn’t want a bar of Lisa Wilkinson’s Today host gig, but it seems things have changed for Georgie Gardner.

Sydney Confidential reports Channel Nine is this close to announcing Georgie as the new host of the network’s breakfast show, with TV boss Hugh Marks working hard to get it all locked down.

“She appeals to the right demographic, both men and women like her and she has news credentials, which is essential,” a source told The Sunday Telegraph.

We hear Nine is willing to fork out more cash to up Georgie’s salary too.

It’s been widely reported Georgie’s not exactly a fan of Karl Stefanovic’s bro behaviour although Syd Con says their insider is adamant Karl will do what it takes to secure Georgie on the seat next to him.

On Sunday, Georgie was spotted leaving her lawyers house with documents in her hand.
