How fat-freezing gave Debra Messing confidence to return to Will & Grace

After 11 years Debra Messing stepped back into Grace Adler's shoes on Will & Grace and she has now opened up about how fat-freezing helped her feel "confident" to return to the show after such a long time.

"I was very excited when I realised that I as going to be stepping back into Grace's skin and had this ace hole," she told Be, revealing her her partnership with CoolSculpting, a non-invasive fat reduction treatment, helped boost her confidence.

"This option that could help me step back into her shoes after 11 years and feel confident."

However, the actress is fully aware that she is a different person than she was a decade ago and the same goes for Grace.

"I'm a different woman than I was 11 years ago. Grace is a different woman than she was 11 years ago," the 49-year-old said. "I have no interest in going back and looking like or feeling like the Debra Messing who was around 11 years ago."

The star also admitted she is far more "content and happy" than she ever has been.

"I'm actually happier now than I was during the first run of the show," Debra told Be.

The actress couldn't believe the results she after she underwent the CoolSculpting fat-freezing treatment just before stepping back into the role of Grace.

"It was just stunning," she revealed. "I had read it was two brilliant doctors from Harvard University that this was proven."

However, she did admit she still had some doubts about the procedure.

"But still I was sceptical and after a couple of months I all of a sudden looked down and I was like, 'Oh my God. It works!'" Debra revealed to Be. "It really is astonishing."
