Harry Styles congratulates Australia on 'Yes' vote

All eyes were on Harry Styles on Tuesday night at the 2017 ARIA Awards.

And as he took to the stage to accept the award for Best International Act, the 23-year-old British singer chose to acknowledge Australia's recent 'yes' result of the marriage equality survey.

"Every time I have ever been in Australia over the last several years everyone, there has always been so wonderful to me," he began.

"So thank you so much for having me and having me back. And congratulations on your recent political decision," he added.

The former One Direction singer beat the likes of Lorde and Ed Sheeran for the award on the night, and was presented with the gong by the cast of Pitch Perfect 3.

Earlier in the night, Harry had female fans crying with joy as he happily posed for photos on the red carpet.
