Chris Pratt and Anna Faris file for divorce
Nearly four months after they announced their separation, shattering the hearts of everyone who considered them #couplegoals, Chris Pratt has filed for divorce from Anna Faris.
The 38-year-old actor cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason they called it quits, with his actress ex filing documents that mirror Chris' at the same time, according to TMZ.
The outlet adds the pair are requesting joint custody of five-year-old son, Jack Pratt, and have reserved the right to obtain spousal support.
Chris and Anna list July 13 2017 as the date of their separation, less than a month before they made the news public, much to the surprise of fans.
An insider told TMZ the split has been "super amicable" with Chris and Anna just wanting to do what's best for their son.
Back in August the former couple released a statement saying they were "disappointed" their eight year marriage had come to an end.
"We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed," the statement said at the time. "Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.
"We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."
Meanwhile Anna recently opened up about the public interest in her personal life, saying she and Chris still "adore" one another.
"It's understandable that people seemed so invested in our happiness together," the Mom actress told People recently. "All I can say about that is it's all true- that we truly adore each other, and we love each other. I think it still comes through."
Anna also addressed the pressure she felt being in a high-profile relationship and how she and the Guardians of the Galaxy star handed the attention in her memoir Unqualified which was released shortly after she and Chris broke up.
"A while back, Chris asked me if I felt a lot of pressure from being in a high-profile relationship and I told him that I did," she wrote.
"That he was asking the question made me think that he probably felt that way, too. We felt that a good offense was the best defense. So instead of being a couple who never spoke publicly about their relationship, we posted silly photos. We tried to let people into our lives to some degree."
While Chris is yet to comment publicly on his marriage break-down, Anna has seemingly moved on, having been seen numerous times with cinematographer Michael Barrett.
