Selena Gomez's mum wasn't rushed to hospital because of Justin Bieber
Selena Gomez's mum Mandy Teefey has been rushed to hospital, but according to the latest whispers it's not because of Justin Bieber.
TMZ had claimed that Mandy had such a heated argument with her daughter about her rekindled romance with the Sorry singer, that she got “so worked up” and needed treatment.
However, People are now reporting that her medical treatment wasn't solely down to the fight over her relationship.
“It’s been a stressful time for Mandy and she made the decision herself to go to the hospital and make sure everything was okay,” the source told the publication. “This wasn’t just about Justin.”
The source, who the outlet said is close to Selena's fam, went on to add that it was "true her family doesn’t approve of Justin," however they stated that the hospitalisation "wasn’t just over a fight about him.”
People also reportedly spoke to a Bieber insider, who said the 23-year-old singer isn't doing his best to "prove himself" with Selena's family.
“Justin knows Selena’s family is not happy about her dating him,” their source said. “He has known for a long time."
They added that Justin has "changed and is a better boyfriend now."
Selena, 25, and Justin, 23, dated on and off from 2011 to 2015 and split amid cheating rumours, which could be why Selena's family are so concerned with their recent reconciliation after her shock split from The Weeknd.
While her family appear to have serious doubts over the reunion, #Jelena fans have been vocal about their joy that the sweethearts are back together.
