Is there a Star Wars Christmas curse?

After news Star Wars actor, Alfie Curtis, has tragically died almost one year exactly to the day as legend Carrie Fisher, the world has been left wondering if its all down to a Christmas curse?

Carrie, who played Princess Leia in the original cult flick, died suddenly from sleep apnea back on December 27th 2016.

Now in extremely eerie circumstances, her pantheon co-star who portrayed Dr Evazan - best known for his menacing Mos Eisley Cantina scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, has died during the Christmas period too.

According to the BBC, the 87-year-old passed away on December 26 2017, though the cause at this stage is unknown.

Fans of the franchise have been quick to spot the similarities, taking to social media to pay tribute to Alfie after dying one year after Carrie.

Co-stars of the pair are also in mourning, with Mark Hamill who plays Luke Skywalker, sharing a touching post on Twitter to both his lost colleagues.

Interestingly, back in 2015 Carrie had told The Mail on Sunday that she thought Star Wars was "cursed."

Talking about a car crash she'd had just days before co-star Harrison Ford survived a small plane crash, she told the publication she was worried because things "happened in threes."

"I'm about to call Mark Hamill to make sure he's okay," she said at the time. "I have a horrid feeling there's a curse going on here."

We hope she's not right about the curse, as it could mean there's another Star Wars tragedy on the way.
