Rose McGowan blasts all-black Golden Globes: 'It's Hollywood fakery'

Rose McGowan has again criticised the all-black theme of the 2018 Golden Globes, calling it "Hollywood fakery."

The celebrity activist previously slammed the actresses who organised the silent protest back in December, by saying they were part of the problem.

Since yesterday's emotionally charged event, which saw celebrity men and women take a stand against gender inequality and abuse, Rose has taken to Twitter again to call-out those who wore black.

"Not one of those fancy people wearing black to honour our rapes would have lifted a finger had it not been so," she wrote. "I have no time for Hollywood fakery, but you I love, @AsiaArgento #RoseArmy."

Her comment was in response to a tweet from Asia Argento, an Italian actress who accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault, who tweeted about the lack of 'victims' at this year's glitzy event.

A number of accusers who came forward with stories were at the event, including Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd.

Eighties child star Corey Feldman also weighed in on the conversation, saying he wasn’t invited to the event despite highlighting an "epidemic" in Hollywood back in 2013.

“I’m pretty sure I brought this info fwd in my 2013 NYTimes best selling book,” he wrote.

Earlier today, Feldman spoke out about the “number one secret” in Hollywood, saying child abuse in the industry was rife, after he claimed he and his fellow child star, Corey Haim, were sexually abused as children.

Rose, 44, has been one of the loudest voices when it comes to condemning the 65-year-old movie producer, accusing Harvey Weinstein of raping her in 1997.

According to the New York Times, she was paid $US100,000 to drop sexual harassment claims against Harvey at the time.
