Dylan Farrow: 'I'm telling the truth'

Woody Allen's adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, has given her first TV interview around the alleged sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of her director dad when she was seven years old.

In a teaser for an emotionally charged interview with CBS, Dylan — who is now 32 — maintains she's telling the truth about an incident in 1992, where she says Allen took her into an attic and assaulted her.

The Oscar-winning director has repeatedly denied the allegations and despite police investigation at the time, no charges were ever laid.

"I am credible and I am telling the truth," she told the host, Gayle King. "I think it’s important that people realise that one victim, one accuser, matters. And that they are enough to change things.”

Dylan, who is the daughter of Allen's former partner Mia Farrow, was referring to the Time's Up movement and the growing spotlight on the sex scandal that has engulfed Hollywood recently.

"Why shouldn't I be angry?" she continues. "Why shouldn't I be hurt? Why shouldn't I feel some sort of outrage after all these years, being ignored and disbelieved and tossed aside?"

She has been vocal about the claims against her one-time dad for years.

In 2014 she wrote an open letter in the New York Times about the alleged abuse describing in detail the incident as well as how it has affected her whole life.

"I didn’t like it when I had to get in bed with him under the sheets when he was in his underwear," she wrote. "I didn’t like it when he would place his head in my naked lap and breathe in and breathe out."

Recently, Woody Allen's respected status in the entertainment industry has been questioned as more and more stars distance themselves from his work.

Just yesterday, Selena Gomez's mum revealed she'd "warned" her against working with him on A Rainy Day in New York.

There are many who stand by him, with actor Alec Baldwin declaring the backlash "unfair and sad."
