Exclusive: Rove says he's 'too credible' for I'm A Celeb
Speculation has been heating up about who will be entering the I'm a Celebrity jungle this weekend.
But while many had suspected former radio-host Rove McManus was gearing up to tackle life in the wild, he has revealed exclusively to Be that definitely isn't the case.
"I'd never, never [go into the jungle]," he said. "Because I have credibility."
His comments appear to take a swipe at those who have enjoyed a stint in the rainforest before, which include Casey Donovan, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and fellow former NOVA colleague Chrissie Swan.
"Nope, it will never ever happen," he added, firmly putting the whispers to bed. "I care not to be humiliated with worms. It's not for me."
Rove — who was talking at the Australian premiere of I, Tonya — had been rumoured to be entering after a Channel Ten promo for the show promised two feuding celebs, which many thought could be Rove and his former radio rival Kyle Sandilands.
The 44-year-old Aussie personality previously hosted a primetime breakfast show with Bachelorette Sam Frost, before being axed over low ratings back in June 2017.
Both however appear to have bounced back from the sudden sacking, with Rove returning to his comedy roots and Sam, 27, joining Home & Away.
"That's exciting," Rove said about Sam's new TV career.
