Explosive claims Bachelor is rigged by producers
Former Bachelor star Sam Wood has come forward with some shocking claims against the franchise saying producers somewhat influenced his decisions while he was on the show.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 37-year-old said the producers didn't dictate who he should pick or send home but rather suggest some girls they would like to stay in a little longer.
"I mean they never tell you what to do," he admitted,"they just say, 'If you're happy to work with us here, we would love it if Girl A, B and maybe C didn't go home tonight or tomorrow night.'"
He also added it wasn't "rocket science" to work out the producers wanted "the girls that caused a fair bit of commotion" to stay in the mansion.
Despite his claims, Sam did find love with Snezana Markoski on the show in 2015 and the pair welcomed their first child together in October last year.
Contestant Cobie Frost from Matty J's season has taken a harder stance on the matter claiming the Bachelor producers do, in fact, decide who stays and who goes on.
"They tell you Matty decides (who gets a rose) but I don't think that's true because if anyone every stood up to production they wouldn't get a rose," she alleged."So you didn't really say anything."
However, according to the publication, Matty denied the claims made by Cobie.
In the last season of The Bachelor, in an early on episode, Matty insisted to all his prospective ladies that he was not “some puppet that’s just being told what to do”.
Just weeks after he was caught wearing an earpiece but a representative from Network Ten insisted the earpiece was only to communicate with Matty for camera angles, lighting and potential technical difficulties.
