Pink battles flu during Super Bowl anthem

It's the most anticipated day for NFL sports fans all around the world, but it wouldn't be a proper Super Bowl without a little celebrity star power.

But the star performer for the 52nd championship game, Pink, almost had to cancel the performance after coming down with a bad case of the flu.

However, the 38-year-old managed to push on and perform the US national anthem in front of over 73,000 people at the US Bank Stadium in Minnesota - and the millions more watching on TV.

But while a sick Pink put in a massive effort, some fans were quick to point out she was a little shaky.

One Twitter user said, "A bit pitchy Pink," while another was critical that "Pink couldn't hit that high note."

However others were more supportive of the singer, commending her performance.

She was also caught spitting out her gum just moments before starting to sing.
