Ange's daughters Shiloh and Zahara all grown up on red carpet

Angelina Jolie made a cute appearance with daughters Shiloh and Zahara over the weekend, while attending the 2018 Annie Awards at UCLA centre in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old wore a stunning, shimmery, silver, floor-length gown paired with her signature red lip, while her girls kept it casual, with 11-year-old Shiloh wearing a black suit and 13-year-old Zahara going chic in all-black.

The mother-of-six attended the event for her animated film the Breadwinner, which tells a story of an 11-year-old girl named Parvana, who lives under Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001.

After the wrongful arrest of her father, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy to support her family. Working alongside a friend, she soon discovers a new world of freedom and danger.

She goes on a journey to find her father and reunite with her family.

It comes after the actress took her two girls with her to meet Syrian refugees in at the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan last week.

“Zahara and Shiloh spent time today speaking and playing with children their own age who have been forced from their homes, whose family members have been killed or have disappeared, and who are struggling with trauma and illness," Angelina said at the event.

“But who at the end of the day are just children, with the same hopes and rights as children in any other nation,' she concluded at the news conference.

Breadwinner is set to be released in cinemas around Australia early November 2018.
