The Queen's awkward flatulent moment revealed

The Queen has never set a foot out of place in the class factor.

She always knows how to be poised, prim and proper but it turns out the monarch has previously been called out for 'flatulence'.

Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell recalled the moment on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! on Wednesday night.

The Queen and Prince Philip had been hosting the Sultan of Bahrain and were out for a carriage ride with Paul riding at the back.

"Suddenly a huge explosion of wind came from one of the horses in front," he recalled.

So much so, the eruption of flatulence 'went straight through the carriage' and stopped all conversation.

Unsure, the Queen apparently asked Prince Philip if she should say something to which he said, "Yes, do."

"She leaned forward and touched the Sultan's knee and said, 'I'm terribly sorry about that awful noise,'" Paul narrated.

But awkwardly, the Sultan of Bahrain thought it was the Queen's fart.

"The Sultan leaned forward, touched the Queen's knee and said, 'That's quite alright your majesty, I thought it was one of the horses,'" the former butler detailed.

How awkward.
