Nine times Jen and Justin gushed about each other

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have announced they have split after two years of marriage.

The pair first met on the set of Tropic Thunder in 2007, three years later the pair crossed paths again as they starred in Wanderlust together.

They eventually became engaged in 2012 and married in August 2015, and during their time together, have had no shortage of sweet words to say about one another.

Justin on how happy he was being with Jen (June 2012)

Justin gushed about Jennifer to Extra in 2012 saying he 'was the luckiest guy in the world'.

"I could not be happier... I always go to bed thinking I'm the luckiest guy in the world," he said.

Jen praises Justin's skills in the kitchen (March 2014)

In March 2014, the actress applauded Justin's cooking skills admitting he had made her gain a few 'extra pounds'.

"The last couple of years since meeting this man has made me gain a couple of extra pounds," she told People.

It was all down to his great pasta dishes but she admitted it was 'all worth it'.

Jen admits she was totally besotted by Justin's eyeballs (July 2014)

Jennifer gushed about her 'handsome' fiancé, telling Women's Wear Daily she just couldn't get over his good looks.

"I love that his eyeballs are so beautifully captured because those eyes just knock me out everyday," she told the publication. "He just gets better every year."

When Justin said the good times with Jen outweighed the difficulties (August 2014)

In August 2014, it was Justin's turn to gush about Jen.

He told Details magazine none of the media circus surrounding Jen and their relationship mattered.

"It doesn't feel like a hardship, it doesn't feel difficult," he said. "It can be an annoyance, but it's not the end of the world.

"You have to center on what its core thing is, which is that you met someone you fell in love with."

Justin talks about his 'wonderful' marriage to Jen (September 2015)

After a three-year long engagement, Jen and Justin tied the knot in 2015.

The actor discussed his 'wonderful' married life with Jen on Good Morning America.

"It's fantastic," he said. "Something really does shift in a wonderful way. And it sort of refocuses things…You relax into it in a certain way."

Justin admits how hard it is to be away from Jen (October 2015)

Both Jen and Justin have busy acting careers which required a bit of a long distance from time-to-time and Justin opened about how 'horrible' it was being away from Jen in October 2015.

"It's horrible being a part from your spouse," he told Extra.

"We FaceTime, we call and text but when you’re on set, the hours are so long, so you’re really waiting for the weekend where you can depressurize and have longer conversations," he added.

Jen boasts about Justin being the funniest person ever (March 2016)

To a lot of people humour is important in a relationship and in March 2016, Jen boasted about her man being the funniest guy of them all.

"I'm lucky because Justin is the funniest person I've met, and we make each other laugh," she told Harper's Baazar. "Laughter is one of the great keys to staying youthful."

When you marry someone you want them to be on your side unconditionally, and that's exactly what Justin said about Jen in April 2017.

"Marriage makes the small things much smaller and the big things small," he told Rhapsody. "It’s good to have someone have your back.”

Justin posts a tribute to his wife on Instagram (August 2017)

To mark their second anniversary in August 2017, Justin posted a cute message to his sweetheart on Instagram.

It was a selfie caption with three simple emojis: Cupid's arrow, a red heart and a peace sign.

Fast forward to February 2018, the couple have now confirmed their split.

But just as they have previously gushed about each other, the pair made a joint statement and insisted they are still 'best friends'.

Their decision to separate 'was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year,' according to the Friends star's publicist, Stephen Huvane

The pair — who became engaged in 2012 and married in August 2015 — insisted they were still 'two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.'

"Above all, we are determined to maintain the deep respect and love that we have for one another," they added.
