WATCH: Jamie Foxx storms off camera after awkward Katie Holmes question
So here’s a lesson to all broadcasters who land an interview with Jamie Foxx: Don’t ask about his love life.
ESPN’s Michael Smith was left speechless when Jamie walked off camera mid-interview after the journalist asked about Katie Holmes.
"Did you and Katie Holmes play basketball for Valentine's Day?" Michael asked at the NBA’s Celebrity Game during All-Star Weekend in L.A.
But the joking reference to the movie Love & Basketball while trying to get the goss on Jamie's lady-love Katie fell completely flat.
After a little eye-roll moment, the actor stood up, whipped his headphones from his head and walked off camera, before pulling his hoodie over his head.
Eeeek - Michael Smith was left wondering what had just happened.
The best part here is clearly the brief second where Jamie considers responding to the reporter, though you can tell it wasn’t about to be anything polite.
Instead, Jamie did what we’ve all been raised to do and decided if he didn’t have anything nice to say he was just going to stand up and walk away from an interview on live TV.
Jamie and Katie have reportedly been an item since 2013, and the pair then confirmed their romance last year after they were pictured holding hands in public as they strolled along a beach.
The former Dawson's Creek star was previously married to Tom Cruise.
Katie and Tom tied the knot in 2006 but eventually divorced in 2012 and have a child together, 11-year-old Suri.
An insider recently told US Weekly Jamie, 50, and Katie are very much committed to one another.
"They've definitely become more serious," added a source. "She's back to her old-self and it's great to watch."
