Lisa and David Oldfield slammed by fellow campmates

Married reality television couple Lisa and David Oldfield have received some serious backlash from fellow campmates and viewers after entering the jungle on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here on Monday night.

The pair were seen hidden in two wooden boxes before Jackie Gillies broke open the boxes, revealing the two new contestants.

And although Jackie couldn't contain her excitement by running over to Lisa to hug her, not all the other campmates seemed too chuffed with the new arrivals, especially retired AFL player Josh Gibson and comedian Peter Rowsthorn.

"He is a d**khead," Josh ranted while the pair walked off, "I can see it already. I thought we said a ‘no idiot’ policy."

"They're both idiots," Peter fumed.

And the rant didn't end there with Gibson.

“Well, we knew they were going to try and send somebody in to rough us up," Josh said. "There they are. I am telling you right now, I will start on him."

"Fi [Fiona O’Loughlin] said he is a racist, do you know anything about him?" asked Gibson.

The hatred for the married duo didn't stop there sending viewers into a meltdown on social media.

"Don't vote the Oldfields into trials. Don't give them any attention at all. Ignore them," one Twitter user said.

Meanwhile another Twitter user proclaimed, "David Oldfield and his wife. Really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Out them, OUT OUT".
