Exclusive: Bachelor's Noni Janur defends MAFS pal Davina Rankin
Former The Bachelor Australia star Noni Janur has defended pal Davina Rankin, who has attracted a wave of viewer backlash following her cheating scandal on Married At First Sight.
Speaking to Be, Noni said she understands fans become 'very involved' in a series likeMAFS, but that they may not be seeing the full Davina and Dean story on screen due to 'editing'.
"She’s getting a really bad rep," Noni said of Davina while attending the UnReal Season Three premiere in Sydney on Friday night.
"Obviously with reality TV people get very involved, [but] they don’t really know that person or how the show’s been edited," she added.
Davina has made headlines as of late, after she and fellow contestant Dean decided to pursue a brief romance, behind their actual TV partners' backs.
Dean then turned around in the next commitment ceremony, coming clean on his affair and deciding to stay with TV wife Tracey.
A heartbroken Davina was left feeling betrayed, and is now trying harder than ever to win back her original TV husband, Ryan.
Meanwhile Noni, who starred in the 2016 season of The Bachelor with Richie Strahan, was one of many familiar reality TV faces at the Stan event on Friday.
By her side was not boyfriend Sam Johnson (of Bachelorette fame), but rather co-star Megan Marx.
