Lisa Wilkinson's bullying nightmare
Lisa Wilkinson has opened up about she got back at bullies after they 'humiliated' her in high school.
During a segment discussing bullying on The Project last night, the 63-year-old revealed how she 'humiliated' and 'small' she felt after she 'became a target' at school.
"It's the most awful, humiliating moment - moments - I've ever experienced in my life and I really feel for kids," she said.
However, the former Today host is the one who has had the last laugh, as she spoke about the 'satisfying' way she got back at those who targeted her in high school.
Once those girls who bullied her in high school slowly started to leave, that is when Lisa 'started to find [her]self' again'.
On her own last day of school she made a 'promise' to herself.
"I walked out the gates and I made a promise to myself that I would never again allow somebody to decide on my behalf who I was and what I was capable of," Lisa proudly told her co-hosts.
"And then eventually you get to be the organiser of the school reunion, and let me tell you, that's been pretty satisfying," she added.
The fact Lisa's also carved herself a incredibly successful career must also be pretty satisfying.
