Just months after Brad and Jen officially split, the actor was slammed for playing happy families with Angie. The two were featured in W magazine in a photoshoot titled ‘Domestic Bliss.’ The next month, Angelina adopted Zahara from Ethiopia as a single mum.
Brad filed to legally adopt Angie’s kids Maddox and Zahara. The kids’ official surname became Jolie-Pitt.
The actress stepped out for the first time with a baby bump. This was the couple’s first biological child together.
Angelina and Brad reveal their daughter was born in Nambia.
“When we found out we were pregnant and thinking about where we would want to go, we thought we wanted to find a place that was a beautiful place that our other children would enjoy,” they said in an official statement. “And they have, they've had an amazing adventure. Also we just love this part of the world; our other daughter was born in Africa and so this is a special continent for us."

A few months later, at the Cannes Film Festival, Brangelina reveal they’re expecting twins. "It did shock us, and we jumped to six [children] quickly,” Angie reveals. “But we like a challenge."
Angie and Brad debut their twins, Knox and Vivienne, on the front cover of People magazine. They become parents of six. "It is chaos, but we are managing it and having a wonderful time," Angie told the magazine. Brad added, "[It's] still a cuckoo's nest."
Brad shares intimate snaps he’s taken of Angelina in W magazine. “I love his photography,” Angie says. “Some people have a hobby, and they find the quickest way to it and are very pleased with the outcome right away. But he’s someone who will really study the camera—he’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it. And he’s very critical of his own work.”
Author Ian Halperin releases an unauthorised book, Brangelina Exposed, and made shocking accusations that Brad cheated on Angie.
The pair won their lawsuit against News of the World, after the publication reports they split in January of that year.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Brad reveals their kids are putting pressure on him and Angelina to get married.
Angie and Brad reveal they’re engaged. Angie sports a $1m ring. “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy,” Brad manager says. “There’s not date set at this time.”
While Angelina was promoting Maleficent, Angie said: “We don't have a date, and we're not hiding anything, but we really don't know. Brad and Angelina spend their honeymoon apart in Malta while filming By the Sea, which is also directed by Angie. Angie admitted that a lot of their friends warned her and husband Brad Pitt against making their film By the Sea, which is a drama about a bad marriage. “A lot of friends of ours thought is was a really ... they didn't say a bad idea ... but they asked us a few times if we were sure we wanted to do it,” Angie told the Today Show.
Brad and Angelina are spotted having a heated exchange on a balcony at a Sydney hotel while Angie was promoting her movie Unbroken. Angie can also be seen smoking a cigarette while Brad drank a bottle of beer.
Angelina tells the New York Times she underwent surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes after doctors detected possible signs cancerous cells. “I feel feminine, and grounded in the choices I am making for myself and my family,” Angie says. “I know my children will never have to say, 'Mom died of ovarian cancer (sic).’”
In an interview with The Today Show, the couple open up about Angelina’s double mastectomy.
“There was no vanity to my wife’s approach. It was mature, it was an excitement, to where, ’This is our life and we’re gonna make the best of it.’ There was a strength in that,” Brad says. “It was just another one of those things in life that makes you tighter. She was doing it for her kids and doing it for her family, so we could be together. It trumped everything and anything.”

The actress also admits that friends warned them not to work together on By the Sea.
“There were a few days when we thought [a working honeymoon] wasn’t the best idea,” Angelina tells The Telegraph. “There were days during filming last year when we were really worried and it was hard.
“Brad and I have our issues, but if the characters were even remotely close to our problems we couldn’t have made the film. To be clear: we have fights and problems like any other couple. We have days when we drive each other absolutely mad and want space, but the problems in the movie aren’t our specific problems.”
By the Sea
Rumours begin to swirl their relationship is on the rocks. A report in the US magazine claims the couple's marriage is in crisis, as they have “been living separate lives” while dealing with their relationship problems for over a year now.
“Dedicating their lives to film work, human rights and their children left them little time for each other,” says a source. “And when they do manage to get together, they end up “squabbling” or passing the time in “frozen silence.”
Reports swirl the couple are in crisis after they are reportedly arguing over whether or to to sell their Chateau Miraval estate in France.
Angelina files for divorce from Brad, citing irreconcilable differences. Ange requests physical custody of their six children and asks that Brad only receive joint legal custody, she does not ask for spousal support.
