MILLION DOLLAR BABIES: MUSIC CELEBRITIES' SPOILT KIDS

When it comes to spoiling children Beyonce and Jay-Z are already leaving other celebrity parents for dead. Only days old and Blue Ivy Carter already owns toys and baby stuff worth over $1.5 million. Beyonce and Jay-Z have splashed out $600,000 for a rocking horse, $15,000 for a Swarovski-studded high chair, $22,000 for a Fantasy coach carriage crib, and $30,000 for a mini Bugatti car. That is without mentioning the rumoured $1 million dollars that they spent on specially customizing the private suite in the hospital where Beyonce gave birth. Or the $1 million more they spent on specially customizing a Mercedes van to carry the couple and their new addition home. These two are spending money like it's going out of fashion! Blue Ivy will be the benchmark against which all celebrity child spoiling comes to be measured...

Justin Combs , Diddy's son, was given a $360,000 Mercedes Maybach on his 16th birthday. The best bit? He can't even drive yet so the gift included a chauffeur at his beck and call.

Elton John is well known for his extravagant spending habits (including a reported $20,000 a month on fresh flowers). It's not surprising then that when it comes to their baby Elton John and David Furnish spend big. They bought a $1.3 million apartment in the same ritzy LA building that they already own a penthouse, to be used as baby Zachary's nursery then staffed it with 24 hour nannies and security.

It's no surprise that the original Material Girl would find material ways to shower attention on her kids. According to reports, the queen of pop spent had spent $100,000 on Lourdes' wardrobe by the time she was four. Lourdes is now an extremely precocious 14 year old who enjoys being pampered at spas and has her own line of make-up and helps mum co-design a range called, fittingly, 'Material Girl' for Macy's in the US.

Kingston and Zuma Rossdale are two of the cutest little Rock 'n' Roll tots in Hollywood. The kids are every bit as stylish as their parents Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, and are frequently seen sporting coloured mohawks and painted nails. Kingston's fourth birthday cost a reported $15,000.

Jennifer Lopez is much more Beverly Hills than Bronx these days. Jennifer Lopez ordered Egyptian cotton linen, diamond engraved rattles and matching Shetland ponies for her twins Max and Emme Anthony. She also has a team of bodyguards for them that reportedly cost a breathtaking $600,000 a month. We doubt she would have needed any of that back on the block!

Kelly Rowland is an Independent Woman and she'll spend her Destiny's Child millions on whatever she pleases! Apparently she loves a little bling, she is said to have spent around $5,000 on a baby bath studded with 44,928 Swarovski crystals.

Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow (with Good Charlotte Rocker Joel Madden) is a second generation music industry baby. Her mother Nicole was the spoiled celebutante daughter of megastar Lionel Richie and Harlow has a super famous dad too. Nicole has said that her parents can't help but spoil her daughter! "[My mom] is the best grandmother in the world. [But] it frustrates me, because I'll say, 'She needs a pair of shoes,' and my mom will come back with 20 pairs of shoes... Spoils is an understatement."

Mariah Carey holds is used to holding her own in the diva stakes. Her twins Monroe and Moroccan with tv host Nick Cannon live in the lap of luxury. The couple converted an entire wing of their Beverly Hills mansion into a luxury nursery, costing a reported $100,000. With ivory walls, 18 carat gold trim and a flatscreen TV and a life-size pumpkin coach, this is the epitome of baby luxury. That's without mentioning their diamond encrusted diaper pins and acres of designer baby clothes!

Tom Cruise is starring in the upcoming musical comedy film 'Rock of Ages' and his daughter Suri Cruise has become a fashion icon for child divas everywhere. It is reported that she has a wardrobe full of mini-couture worth hundreds of thousands. She also gets treated like royalty wherever she goes, with Tom and Katie shutting down zoos and ice skating rinks for private visits.

Now we know Brad Pitt can't sing (as evidenced in Happy Feet 2) but every one of his kids looks like a rock star in training. Brad and Angelina are as big as it gets in Hollywood, so it makes sense that their kids would get treated like little princes and princesses. The Jolie-Pitts are rumoured to spend a fortune indulging Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, Pax and twins, Knox and Vivienne. Each child has their own nanny and tutor. Zahara, has also been treated to a $13,000 princess themed birthday party.

The Beckhams are known for their love of high performance cars. To celebrate the birth of Harper Seven last year David spent $300,000 buying a Ferrari Ascaglietti 612 specially customized for his new baby, complete with the logo '7' embroidered on the seats. Now she'll only have to wait 16 years or so until she can drive it!
