On June 5, Paris Jackson, the 15-year-old daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson, was rushed to the hospital after a possible suicide attempt. Here's a look at her troubles, plus some other children of musicians who've had difficulty growing up in the spotlight.
Peaches Geldof, daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yeates, once made the pages of gossip magazines for being a wild child, recklessly getting countless tattoos, and THAT famous naked heroin-fuelled one-night stand. Images of the said night were plastered over the internet for all to see. Peaches said: “I did experiment with drugs, I did get drunk and go to parties, but I was never that wild. I could have been, I could have let myself spiral but all the time I remembered what happened to my mum.” Nowadays, she has cleaned up her act and is a wife and mother to two children.
Another offspring of John Phillips (and the half-sister of Mackenzie), Bijou has had more than her own fair share of troubles. The model/actress partied hard all throughout her teen years, drinking and taking drugs, flashing her breasts at photographers, and regularly ending up in the tabloids. She allegedly ended an affair with Cher's son Elijah Blue by throwing his belongings out a window, and went into rehab at age 17 after a breakdown following her friend's death from a heroin overdose. Now 33, Bijou is married to "That '70s Show" actor Danny Masterson and is reportedly a devout Scientologist.
Bobbi Kristina Brown
The apple may not have fallen far from the tree in the case of the daughter of late pop diva Whitney Houston and R&B singer Bobby Brown. The teenager was captured on camera allegedly snorting cocaine in 2011, and reportedly got high shortly after her mother's funeral in 2012. Just last week, Bobbi was allegedly evicted from her Georgia apartment for causing disturbances.
Frances Bean Cobain
Given her mother's antics, it's good to report that the daughter of volatile rocker Courtney Love and late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has generally managed to stay out of trouble. That said, she's had an incredibly rocky relationship with her mom, filing a restraining order against her and alleging that Courtney's drug use made her unstable and resulted in the death of their family pets. Courtney also once shockingly claimed that Foo Fighters/Nirvana man Dave Grohl hit on a then-19-year-old Frances, a public accusation that Frances was quick to debunk.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's son had his adolescence chronicled on the MTV reality show "The Osbournes," and it couldn't have been easy for him to constantly be in the spotlight. On his 13th birthday, Jack allegedly got drunk for the first time. A year later, he was drinking regularly, smoking marijuana, and partying hard. He also battled depression and attempted suicide by taking prescription pills and cutting his hands. Soon after, he went to rehab to get his act together. Despite a recent multiple sclerosis diagnosis, Jack appears to be doing much better. He's clean and sober, involved in directing and producing videos, and recently became a father.
The daughter of Mamas & The Papas stars John and Michelle Phillips began a decades-long struggle with drug addiction as a teen star on the '70s sitcom "One Day at a Time" that led to multiple arrests. She later revealed to Oprah Winfrey in a 2009 interview that her father raped her when she was 18 and that they carried on a consensual sexual relationship for the next 10 years.
Transforming from child star Hannah Montana into a sexpot singer, Miley has gotten into her fair share of trouble. The daughter of country superstar Billy Ray Cyrus was captured in a 2010 video taking salvia bong hits, and the video surfaced online a few days after her 18th birthday. She recently traded in her demure Disney look for an edgy platinum haircut, and she frequently tweets racy photos of herself in which she's wearing next to nothing. In her just-released single "We Can't Stop," it sounds like she's singing about "Molly" (a slang term for the drug Ecstasy), although she claims she's really singing "Miley."
Stephanie Rose Bongiovi
The daughter of rocker Jon Bon Jovi was rushed to the hospital and arrested in 2012 following a heroin overdose. She was subsequently released and has apparently managed to stay out of trouble ever since, but her dad recently dubbed the overdose his "worst moment as a father."
The daughter of famed Public Enemy hype man Flavor Flav took family drama to the next level when she clocked her dad during a fight with her brother and ended up getting arrested as a result. Flav was reportedly trying to break up the fight between his kids when his 19-year-old daughter hit him during the 2012 altercation, and they both ended up in the slammer.
