Dakota Johnson and Melanie Griffith's awkward Oscars red carpet tiff

In a case of Hollywood stars being just like us, Dakota Johnson and her mum Melanie Griffith had a hilariously-awkward mother-daughter tiff on the red carpet at the 87th Annual Academy Awards.

However unlike us, when we fight with our parents it's not broadcast for millions to see.

It was meant to be the Fifty Shades of Grey star's big moment, there to present an award, Dakota stunned on the red carpet in Saint Laurent.

However things took a turn for the awkward during an interview with Lara Spencer, when Melanie revealed she hasn't seen her daughter's new film (you can watch the awkward clip above).

"I don't think I can. I think it would be strange," she admitted.

"She’s a really good actress, I don’t need to see that to know how good she is," she added.

Dakota clearly wasn't happy and snapped back at her famous mum, "Alright! You don’t have to see it. Jesus Christ. God ..."
