WATCH: New Marvel trailer breaks internet
The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s upcoming film Black Panther dropped over the weekend, and it has already taken the Internet by storm. Check it out below!
The trailer first debuted on US television during Game 4 of the NBA finals, and quickly overtook Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James as the top trending topic on Twitter with over 349,000 mentions.
Once the two minutes of Black Panther footage popped up online, it quickly clocked up a whopping 89 million views in 24 hours.
This impressive stat means the video made it onto the list of top ten most-watched trailers of all time, landing in tenth spot after just a day. Impressive!
Meanwhile, Twitter users lost their minds at the teaser, which gave us plenty of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther but also first glimpses of Michael B. Jordan, the Walking Dead’s Danai Guirra, Sherlock star Martin Freeman and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o.
