'The Muppet Show' (1976-1981)
Everybody's favourite amphibian 'Kermit the Frog' taking some time to debrief with his pupeteer Jim Henson.
The scene where Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman) bid farewell is among the film's most memorable images. This photo pulls back the curtain on that moment to reveal cinematographer Arthur Edeson – and his very large camera – about to capture some film history.
'The Dark Knight' (2008)
Heath Ledger, playing 'The Joker', having a laugh with his co-star Christian Bale, as 'Batman'.
Cheeky Chewbacca thought he would try and make a move on Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher.
'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' (1991)
Remember how awkward it got in this movie when young John Connor (Edward Furlong) attempts to get the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) to smile? Well, it's not nearly as awkward when the cameras aren't rolling. Here, Arnold laughs it up with James Cameron.
Endless stories about Bruce, the pneumatically-powered prop sharks that "played" the great white (nicknamed after Steve Spielberg's lawyer, Bruce Raimer), abound from the set of this deep-sea thriller. So it was a treat to see this photo of the young filmmaker, relaxing in Bruce's gaping maw, pop up on Twitter.
Martin Scorsese looks right at home in between Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro on set of his modern mobster classic. We’re guessing that they're prepping for one of the card-game scenes here (and not actually playing cards).
'The Shining' (1980)
It wasn't all redrum and axes on the set of this terrifying thriller — remember what Jack Torrance said about "all work and no play"? Director Stanley Kubrick snapped this early "selfie" of him and his daughter Vivian (with the film's iconic star, Jack Nicholson, blurred out), who's posted a plethora of great pics from her father's productions on her Twitter account.
'The Amazing Spider-Man' (2012)
Even superheroes need to relieve themselves. Lifelong Spidey fan Andrew Garfield has made the most of his time playing the web crawler, showing up at Comic-Con in costume — and having a photographer shadow him to take photos of a 'A Day in the Life of Spider-Man,' which he shared with "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart."

'Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi' (1983)
Carrie Fisher clearly bonded with her stunt double Sandi Gross in hot and sunny Tatooine (actually, the Yuma Desert in Arizona ). Here they are sunbathing together in their matching 'Slave Leia' costumes.
Christopher Reeve as he prepared to take flight on Richard Donner's seminal superhero movie.
That is most definitely not the Norman Bates we remember. Anthony Perkins was all smiles for this 1959 photo shoot in Universal City. And why wouldn't be, perched on a ladder with a lovely lady on each side of him?
'The Basketball Diaries' (1995)
Fresh, adolescent faced Leonardo DiCaprio aside his mischievous co-star Mark Wahlberg. The two joined forces again almost 20 years later for the film 'The Departed'.
'The Matrix' (1999)
Whoa. Seeing how the Wachowskis — and their Oscar-winning team of visual-effect aces — crafted the oft-copied look of this mind-bending thriller never gets old. Keanu Reeves and Hugo Weaving achieve great hang time in this particular shot.
'Star Wars' (Episode unknown)
The always radiant Carrie Fisher having her renowned Princess Leia buns done behind the scenes.
