Waleed Aly slays 'Purple Rain' on guitar

The Project's Waleed Aly formed a super rock group with Dan Sultan and Regurgitator to perform Prince's iconic song Purple Rain.

Audience members at Victoria’s annual Aussie rules football charity event, the Reclink Community Cup, videoed footage of the Aussie legends.

It's not the first time Waleed has busted out his insane guitar skills.

At the 2015 Walkley Awards, the Gold Logie winner took to the stage to perform Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb, and managed to win over the hearts of Australia even more than we thought possible.

Each year the Reclink Community Cup gathers Aussie musos and community broadcasters which raises money for sport and art programs for disadvantaged Australians.
