The Veronicas throw shade at Iggy Azalea

The Veronicas have slammed Iggy Azalea on Twitter for wearing fur.

Animal rights activists Jessica and Lisa Origliasso responded to an MTV tweet asking whether they could take on the Team singer in a music battle.

Their response?

"We can take on anyone who thinks skinning an animal and wearing it is 'fashion'" — The Veronicas (@TheVeronicas)

Yeouch!

The twins are passionate about animal welfare, having fronted campaigns for PETA, and even featured the anti-whaling crew of Sea Shepherd in their If You Love Someone film clip.

Iggy, who has had a nightmarish week after admitting she caught her ex-fiance Nick Young cheating on her, has yet to respond to the tweets.

Perhaps they'll battle it out through song?
